As long as fuel prices don't skyrocket, I would think that would cover it.

I'm setting aside funds for the trip, but I'm dependent on one of ya'll coming up with a trailer to tow 2 rigs, since I don't have the budget to fund buying a tow rig and trailer. :frown:

Bob just drive that white wagon out. The darn trail will be paved by then. I'm bringin my white one.

I'm planning on taking the mini-truck instead of the 80. Less worries about body damage.

Bob,

There isn't going to be any stinking body damage on my 80 on that trail. Seriously, I'm planning on running with other wagons. They already blasted Gatekeeper and they are blasting Little Sluice too. If they can take a 100 through and an FJ Cruiser through a modded 80 with a seasoned driver should not have any problems.

Can't go for sure. :frown: My cousin is getting married in Hawaii over Thanksgiving and I am committed to going.:)

Might try to go to Katemcy in March instead. I might just save the travel money and spend it onthe new truck?????

Does that mean no Cruise Moab too?

Yes, MOAB is out also.

I have a brother in Dallas so the trip to Katemcy could turn into a familty visit and time with my nieces.

I had a blast at MOAB last year. Just the other day I was thinking about how I chickened out on MOAB Rim in the rain. The longer I thought about it the more I remembered how very slippery it got once the rain picked up.

that bit on Moab Rim is the only time I've been puckered in my short, spotty, half-assed wheeling life...

It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't good either. I do not regret turning around. I was a lot more scared when Erik and Brett rolled in the hot tub and I wasn't even in the rig. Just watching Erik's hands go up sent chills through me. I thought for sure he had just crushed both hands.

I'm definitely going to Rubithon. Ginger has forbidden Gabe from going along though. Too long of a trip for single dad she says. He can go to Moab if I want him to.

However, I'm starting to get cold feet on Moab. Everyone seems to be uncertain as to what they want to do. Nobody seems to want to committ to runs. Since I have to plan on travelling alone I'm not sure I want to risk it.

Also I keep getting a seed planted in my head that I should screw Moab and go to TX. It is doable as I have 3 days that I wouldn't use in May. My only 3 days. Flying to TX is cheaper than driving to Moab. I still can't believe Mark Hawley and some of the Cascade Cruisers are headed to TX from Oregon. They did the semi and plane thing. Their willingness to fork out the bucks to attend that way makes me think I'm missing out on something down there. I've never been to Texas at all.
