I am going in with Tony, me and my gear will need a ride back up Cadillac, since Tony will be staying in the springs. If anybody has some room, I would love to confirm the trip out. I will have the one wheel wonder (2wd Tacoma) at the staging area. Tony says I pack lite.

Have not heard hide nor hair of Roger since I took possession of the front axle he had a few months ago.

Why aren't you taking your own rig in? You've had a few months to install that new axle. I'm curious how you talked Roger out of it, I built that years ago-

I'm going in Thursday with Dion/ Spencer/ Jeff Nyholm/ and one of Dion's customers, I will be driving my FJ40

Tim ! We miss you , Would have been good to wheel out with you on Saturday , I found Roger,

Yeah Tim, we miss you. I have been busy, and spent a lot of time, and money trying to gather all the parts required to make the axle operational, and now I am working on converting it to spring under, put in a locker, make a custom tie rod finish brake lines, and u-joint adapdter to connect to all toyota t-case stuff, lot to work out, and not enough time, but getting close, just not for Rubithon.

Thanks for asking, oh and a lot of badgering, and right price, finally wore him down I think he really just wanted me to stop calling him, hee hee hee

If you make it in on Friday stay & we'll boogie early Sunday. Glad you are making the effort to get there.

Yo Knorr Bros... of course the usual PMC crowd is going but having you two in there would be awesome!
I tried to get James H. to go but not sure...
Seriously bummed Tim cannot make it... Did you sell your cruiser?
No Larry this year, he has some family stuff to attend to... remember, work and family first, then wheeling.
Dreamin and I should be Wed as usual, bringing a ton of stuff in for event and staying afterward.

There is lots of talk, but most in the Rubithon thread itself, and much of our focus is actually on the swap meet for July 12th.
I just got back from a week of camping on the Mokelumne River and only now am beginning to focus on Rubithon. Got to clean all the gear and repack... while wheeling and camping are similar and use similar equipment, there are two different packing efforts.

However, your trip is too short. You are both retired... take another day. We cannot get enough Knorr Time.

Oh, we better call that Don G. guy and make sure he knows 70 is not too old to wheel.

Yea Tony I sold my cruisers, just wasn't using it much around here. Most of the trails around here are mostly for side by sides so I hauled it back to Santa Rosa and Justin Verdu bought it and I sold the blue one here. Went down and bought a new Polaris Xpedition Adv which has heating, Ac, power windows and room for five.
We just got back from Moab and the Ac was nice to have.
I will have a representative at Rubicon this year in my place, Eric finally broke down and became a TLCA member so he and my Grandson Evan will be filling in for me and camping in the springs with you guys.
Have Fun -Tim

Hello my PMC friends... back from Rubithon and caretaking... each a great week.

You all left Sunday and the bear was in my s***... we chased him from the kitchen, right thru PMC camp, and he was back at 10 PM to attempt a snatch and grab of my food box... but I was ready... bucket of beer cans as noise alert system, and pan with crescent wrench... bang bang bang, sent him running. but he hit camps all week and will continue to do so as long as inexperienced people keep leaving opportunities.

Had a very quiet Mon Tues Wed, amazing how quiet the 4th of july week can be. but that all changed Thursday and Friday. Lots of folks.

I want to acknowledge some PMC members:
John Evans for whom as we are all aware put a lot of effort and resources into this years event.
Dion and Spencer Mattei who stepped up when needed most.
Gary Kardum and Georg Esterer for supporting the event, both in attendance and raffle donations. (Both TLCA Hall of Fame.)
Larry Allen who did not actually get banned, but ended up being Jeff's newest best friend!
Doug Huft who leads the Wagon run and his son Dom who drove his 40 in.
Knorr Bros Mike and Dale who made it in, broke, said never again, and then said building bigger and better!
Chris Larson who actually showed up Thursday and not at 2 AM!
Jeff Nyholm and Andy Hagen for making camp so wonderful and feeding me.
and Michael Dremann who rode in with me and kept me company.

and I posted this in the Rubithon thread as I feel it was an omission by our new chairman to Not acknowledge the outgoing chairman...

Outgoing Rubithon Chairman (and PMC Member) Mr. Ross Woody!!! His leadership as TLCA President for 8 years is why the association is as strong as it today and his efforts as Rubithon Chairman has positioned this event to continue to be successful; even when a previous chairman failed and literally dropped it on his lawn to pick up the pieces and carry on. Ross ran the kitchen when I was chairman over 10 years ago, that is how long and how involved he has been. Ross.... I think a man lucky to call you friend. Thank you my friend.

Also, there was no award for club attendance but thank you, everyone in PMC, who continue to do more than just 'show up'.

Our club is only as good as our members and our members are Great!
