PMC friends and anyone else viewing...

Rubithon is slated to see some significant changes in 2025 with incoming chairman Jeff Greenwood.

He has assembled his team and they are ahead of the curve as far as planning and coordinating for next year.

The Rubithon website is still coming together but contains quite a bit of information including the organized runs and trail leads.

Rubithon.com

Jeff says he has contacted his key team leads and players, although not quite everyone yet.

One of the most significant efforts he is undertaking (aside from a live band) is controlling the camping areas to ensure the organized runs have a descent camping spot upon arrival. If you have ever arrived late on Friday, you know how limited the descent spots can be. Jeff has made this a priority for next year. This will affect mainly solo or renegade runs coming in as you may encounter some reserved areas. Lets do our best to help Jeff be successful.

I have asked Jeff for PMC to continue camping in our usual PMC spot across from the meadow. This area is known as the the mechanic comm area during Jambo. It is also pretty well known PMC camp area during Rubithon and believe that will remain the case. Of course, because we are the most fun camp to be around, I expect others will want to join us especially if their usual spot has been usurped.

We can chat more in detail at the January Meeting. While Jeff thinks awards going to the same person/group is boring, I'd like to see PMC continue to win the most club attendance award as we have done for the last umpteen years.

I think the reserved camping areas are a great idea. There's plenty of room is managed. I know dirty dozen was pretty empty last year.

I'd love to help.

Usually that's the plan, but not required.

I'm just passing along information. Check out the website first, and if you still have questions, drop Jeff or your run contact a note.

I would offer: groups are encouraged to camp together especially if having wheeled together for two days, although not mandatory. Many times a person's own schedule will drive which day or time they can enter. If you arrive Friday, you might want to camp with your group as they will have an area reserved and waiting.

Thank you Tony but i want to clarify a few things . First I have never said i think the Awards are boring . My exact words are i think its dumb that the same people get the same awards every year . so i am working on changing some things up . Who knows , At this point that is about 999 on things we need to worry about . Second as far as camping Yes we are going to offer preferred camping to the Organized runs . This is the least we can do for the trail leads and camp and cook crew .Most of these runs have camped in the same spots for many years . We are adding more things to do at the event this year . Live Band , Vendors , More kids activities ect . Registration will open the end of Jan . Look forward to a great year .

Are the plans to have each run camp together?
No . We are just giving the option to the Organized Runs to have a camp site . In my experience as a trail lead most of the runs end up camping together when they get to the springs .

Thank you Peter we definitely can use your help .

Jeff,
This is Michael Dremann, former Event Manager, I am hoping that you will take advantage of my services, and keep me in my normal position. If you want a complete list of my duties that I do just let me know, and I will list them all out. If you do not want me around, then I may reconsider going all together, after all I have always said "if I can not help, then I am going home". Therefore, I would like to be part of the event, rather than just an attendee.

Please let me know if you have any questions for me.

I also sent an email to Rubithon Chairman as well.

Thank you

Really Michael? Seems to me you enjoyed your time off last year when you had a break from your chores and were able to hang out with your friends. I believe there will be plenty of volunteer efforts available for anyone who makes themselves available. You won't know till you go.

It is going to be epic and one you don't want to miss.

It would be nice to have you along for some adventures Michael, you have always been working and never in the swim hole, hiking to cabin, riding to Long Lake, looking forward to it, who knows, we might find some gold.....

Speaking of Michael working, he will be at my house this saturday moving my rear springs mounts. Swing by John and we'll discuss gold mining, mining claims, rear shackle angle, quality welds, nasty camping gear, packing and when we are entering and where we are camping. well we all know where you camp. I'll buy you breakfast!

did I hear someone say BREAKFAST???

yeah, looks like I have been ousted from my position anyway, have not heard a single word from Jeff, and that can not be good if he wants me to help. Gonna be bored most of the time if I am not working on stuff, been 24 years since I was not actually part of the event, 1999 was my last not committee year, could be a rough transition, we'll see. At least I know I still have my Bar duties, but probably won't get lead or even committee reg though, that sucks big time.

Bull****. I sent you emails sent you my phone number . I am tired of people going to public forums blasting me without calling me or talking to me or even a DM. So yes at this point you are ousted

My apologies Jeff, I have never seen any emails, did you send to michaeldremann@comcast.net? I truly wish I would have seen them, I do apologize, was not really calling you out publicly, was just stating I have not heard from you at all. So I never had you rnumber to call

If you happened to send the email to mbdkauth@comcast.net, I have not use that email for over a year now, since I closed my business, it was a business email.

If still interested in me helping, I am sure I could be a good asset, shoot me something on the email above, or private message me through mud. Also rubithon leader mailer hits my personal address as well, but only see the monthly reminders there.

Not listing my Phone here, but I will offer it up in private direct communication.

Thanks, chat soon maybe

Well I do apologize, I never saw anything at all, and never meant to offend anybody, if you don't want my help that's fine, if you do I am more than willing to help.

I just need to know what type of plans to make, entirely up to you, its your show, just let me know what you want from me.

Thank you

everyone take a deep breath.... and exhale slowly.

Michael, you should have (and still should) called Jeff and spoke directly to him. Your use me or lose me was... (fill in the blank).

Jeff, he really did not blast you although his comment about no response was in error... again, he should have called. Yes, I would oust him too.

Now... remember Michael when we camped at the top of the slabs when the tree was standing? That was our spot and Roger /Tim camped below at Rocky Pt and the Knorr Bros crew camped on the slabs along the river. Then the year we showed up and R /T were all upset as someone (the Knorr Bros) camped in their spot and they in turn camped in our spot. We did not blink an eye, kinda laughed at the childish behavior and moved our camp to the upper camp above the meadow. We liked it as it was much closer, had lots of space to invite our friends and that became the PMC campsite for years until Dion and you moved us to the lower campsite, again due to easy access to the springs.

When Eric Agee took over as Chairman from me... I wrote an article for Toyota Trails titled Rubithon - Change is Good. As it was then and has been since. Every chairman since me has taken the event to new levels of success, I expect Jeff is doing the same and we should all be appreciative. It is a huge effort he has undertaken and we all need him to be successful as this is TLCA's (our) premier event.

You might have one of the best Rubithon's you have ever experienced... I know I am planning on it.

Now get over here and fix my truck. :)
