PMC'ers... here is your chance to give back to the Rubicon Trail!

Volunteers needed Aug 21st at Wentworth springs to help Trail Work coordinated by RTF and FOTR.

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=903891

Here is an opportunity where you don't even need a four wheel drive! Wentworth is on the Loon side and accessible by any car via the pavement. You can drive to Wentworth springs, hike in or catch a ride, not very far, spend the day with your OHV friends supporting the trail, and either drive home that night or camp locally at Gurley Creek campground, Airport Flat, Loon Lake or a myriad of other camp grounds.

The work party will be working from the Wentworth Trail head (campground) to the fork at Ellis Creek.

Follow the link above for details, be sure to note your TLCA and Rubithon affiliation.

Thanks!

Tony?
Are you going to be there and if so where do you intend on camping, got room for an extra tent?

Still time to sign up! As noted, you don't need 4x4 to make it to the Wentworth Springs Trail head! Just show up and help! Heck, even if you do not sign up, I'm sure you can simply show up and help (in typical TLCA fashion). :)

Michael, not sure yet, either Gurley creek or Airport Flat or perhaps right there at Wentworth (although never camped right there). Yes, will have room and I appreciate you coming up to represent PMC. And if that entire area is packed, a good friend of mine showed me a sweet campground where virtually no one ever goes. ;)

I also still need to repair my radiator after Fordyce, and if that does not get done, I'll be driving my red truck over or perhaps hitching a ride. Red truck, maybe I'll take the quad too for easy mobility.

I've also heard rumors Becky and Robert Mutzig are celebrating their one year anniversary in the Springs this coming weekend... hard to believe its been a year since they were married right there in the Springs!

K tony I just signed up, I will bring the 2-wd Tacoma, I will head up on fri night, back on sat night, cause if I do not do Sun chores then I no get to go to Fordyce on 27th.

Let me know when and where you want to meet.

Oh and wentworth is just stright up Ice house right? No right turn to Loon.

Thanks Michael... Yes, you continue up the main Ice House road, ignoring the Loon lake turn off. Follow the road to the end, I believe that is the wentworth springs camp ground. On your way there, you will also pass Gurley creek campground (and German Brown restoration area). I'll look for at either of these two places...

Every time I've been thru wentworth, its always been flooded, thus I am not too familiar with the camground there.

I will also probably be in my little red truck as the tow rig is puking some fluids.

I plan on bailing Saturday evening to for home too. And going in via Georgetown which will be a new route for me from Auburn. (another reason for taking the little red truck. Zip zip, zoom)

this may just be a stupid question, but maybe not.

Tony,
Does little red have a CB in her? or is it your standard twist neck and shout thing.
