Don from my mail to you earlier this morning:

Don, I have some good news for this trip. A friend of mine(Trent) went in on Friday 5/27 in the morning. Although there was talk of Walker Hill being too difficult from other people on the trail, he decided to try anyways. He and another friend of ours(Ken) made it into Spider w/o difficulties. Upon getting to Spider they decided to push on to Buck. The water crossing at Buck was treacherous and frightful. He compared it to the deepest crossing at Fordyce during a 200gpm rate. They stayed @ Buck on Friday night since they arrived late. Saturday, he said that they were the first wheelers to hit the springs. They ended up rolling out on Sunday to beet the traffic. I know that they came back out the same way they went in. However, w/ a bit more research I'm sure you could nail down an exit strategy through Tahoe.

Hope this helps,
Campy
