Hey Tony/ Dave, its sounds and looks like Eldorado County want to close the trail, only for certian uses, Read up the Deis, they talking about trail Wear and tear, Oil and Grease in the Water Systems, and A lot of other Items, Too much to Write here about, We need to be present at the October meeting The 25 Oct at Eldorado County Fair Grounds and See what they're up to. I'll see if i can Get Ron and myself and any others avaiable.

This is different than Route Designation. This is for the over all master plan of the area. While very important it is a different animal in my opionion.

DEIR's are more detailed than DEIS's . Without reading the DEIR I bet it takes into account the economic impact of the area and how the trail is used.

Del notes this is a different issue than the El Do DEIS. This is a trail specific DEIS, kinda local jurisdiction vs federal jurisdiction (El Do).
