Rubbing sound in steering wheel

I recently purchased a 2005 cruiser and just noticed a rubbing/vibrating sound when I get the steering wheel to a certain point. It happens turning either way.
I have ruled out tire rub because the wheel isn't turned far enough to cause that.
Any ideas what it may be?

I don't know if your sound is the same as I had a couple of years ago. The rubber boot down by the floor needed a little grease as it rubbed against the firewall when I turned the steering wheel.
