As many of you know, I have been sqwaking about the tent cot for some time now and how they would help preserve space.Well when I got them they were HUGE. So back they went. Pretty sure it's Rtt now. I like the roof mounts Paul made for Jason. I will defiantly ask Paul for a set but here is the problem. I have an FRP top which only has rain gutters off of the back and over the doors. Not sure if that's enough support. Not a whole lot on mud either. Wondering what you guys have seen or think.

The gutters are FRP as well right? We may be able to come up with something....

If your top is removable like on the 4runner you could make a rack that bolts on under the frp that could also extend further towards the front of the truck so you can also bolt it to the steel part of the roof if you have one

Yep FRP

I like what John and Jeremy do, folding a tarp over themselves under the exhaust pipe to keep warm.

What about a harness that goes under your armpits so you can sleep standing up? ROTFL!

Ya, those two are pretty light packers. I especially like his dash rib defroster and wilderness temperature beer.

Ha ha yeah one day I'll have the rtt, but for now my super spacious tarp works pretty good. I think there are some RMLCA members that rock the rtt on a frp top. Pretty sure actually.

I know lowenbrau has his mounted on top just not sure how

Been there, not what I was looking for in regards to design specifics. I've caught him in other forums before but he's hard to peg down. If I could talk to him I'd probably get some answers.

Maybe when the Trasharoo group buy shows up. It's been awhile though.

Yeah could try to send him an email...

Tried for the trash arroyo, no response

No biggie I'll catch him or get it figured out

Bruce drilled holes through his FRP and mounted the RTT to an internal roll cage in the back of his 74.

I think I like the Aussie style exo cage. With some planning it and the FRP will still be removable. Hopefully not too fugly either.

There are also some roof racks that do mount to the frp sill. So it must be strong enough...
