I'm right in the middle of replacing my steering rack and I'm down to pulling the 4 bolts that hold the rack in and the tie rods. I can't get them to budge. I have new tie rods so I'm not too worried about messing the old ones up but I've tried to get them out and not having any luck. Got any suggestions. Significant heat is not an option unfortunately. I might have enough propane in my little torch that I used to sweat copper fittings to give that a try. Anything else?

Never mind

Are you pulling the inner tie rod? Longer bar available? lock washer? Is the rack loose , is that giving to much play?

Outer, so I could pull the rack. I managed to beat them into submission. Actually I didn't hit it too hard... At some point it just pops out.
