RTH: inner hub seal

Hey everyone. I'm doing a front axle rebuild, and screwed up the install of the inner hub seal, destroying the seal in the process. If any Tucson members have an extra, or anyone have another way of helping me out, I'll gladly pay for the part and the convenience. Until then, my truck is sitting in my buddy's driveway.

You can get the seal from Autozone or Checker.

Another problem...
Can't get the DS axle out enough to get the snap ring on. We are pretty sure we got the inner race seated, but can't think of anything else. Any ideas before I destroy another seal going back to try the race again?

Find a bolt to bolt onto the end of the birfield, use the bolt to pull birfield out so that you can get the snap ring on. I used a bolt from the brake line bracket to frame (under the front wheel well) before. I don't remember which side now.

Truck is all done. We tried the method you mentioned, Jackson, but it wasn't the problem. Turns out we just suck at seating races. Thank you for taking the time to help me out! Thanks also to Rex for stopping by to diagnose my AC trouble - I owe you a lunch and cash for the cold stuff. Huge thanks to Tim for spending his entire Father's Day helping me out.
