I am in the parts gathering phase of doing a front disc brake upgrade to the 4Runner calipers ('93), a T100 MC ('93), stainless steel DOT brake lines from Man-a-fre and I have also ordered a 10lb RPV valve from Wilwood. I have read many of the posts on here about the upgrade and know that I need the RPV for the rear brakes but I have not seen any info as to where people have spliced in the RPV on their '62 rigs. I was just hoping that someone who has already done this on their '62 can send me a pic or give me some advice as to what they did.

Thanks in advance..

RPV? Rear proportioning valve?

I know them as LSPV, load sensing proportion valve. Which 62's have stock on top of the rear axle.

Could you just replace the stock one with the new one?

I think the LSPV still needs to stay in place. From what I have been reading, the RPV (Residual Pressure Valve) needs to go in between the MC and the LSPV. I was just curious where others have placed it is all. Maybe I don't need to have one at all. Maybe somebody can correct me if I am wrong.
