Serious about pulling 'em? you betcha. Anything to a: help out a guy without a tow rig and b: offset the fuel cost will help!

I'm gonna double check with him again soon to make sure HE was serious, but he's not one to back out of his word.

Wow, that is excellent. They'll share fuel costs for sure (and make fun of my 80 when it gets less MPG than you towing 40s).

Sorry to be a dolt but how many 40s fit on a 32' trailer? Yours and two others?

What's your route look like? Raleigh to Asheville on 40 I'm sure. Then staying on 40 into Arkansas? Or cutting South to Chattanooga then into Alabama and Mississippi? Doesn't really matter I suppose. They can get their 40s to wherever the trailer is for sure. It's about 1,200 miles from Asheville to Katemcy, either route.

Well, maybe this will work out. Thanks!

TJK

I can hold mine and only one other, unfortunately.. a 40 is right around 12' long, and the trailer doesn't have the GVW for 3.

Haven't really planned my route yet.. Trying to remember how I went when I bought the CTD in Austin..

Mileage - I'm planning on ~10 mpg.. anything more than that, I'll be happy - but I should get a little more once we get out of the mountains.

One would be much appreciated. I'll pass this along to the Petes and see what they think.

Dead heat on the fuel "economy" there....

TJK

Yall come through Mississippi and we will haul out with ya!

Later,

Is it time yet? :D

I reaaaaaallly wanna 4-link 1/4 E the back of my cruiser before the roundup, but I won't have the cash until Feb 1., and that's a TIGHT timeframe, leaving no room for anything to go wrong. But, it still hops like a lowrider with the leaves - I gotta do something!

it CAN get very cold in February in the Hill Country. and in the the late 80s, it snowed 2 feet of snow in one day in the SAN ANTONIO area which is amost 100 miles to the south of Katemcy. I think that there is a good chance that you will regret doing it in February. I know Texas is far south, but you have to remember that the northern Jet Stream dips way down into Texas during the winters. Of course, March can be a bear sometimes too, but I still think that you have a much better chance of good, temperate weather in March, than you do in February.

Feb

I'm in for February. My wife will be giving birth in early-mid March, so I need to get this in before that. I was talking about a trip with some of my J**P buddies here in Clear Lake for February anyway. This would give me a good excuse to join the club officially.

Chris if you look at the dates, it is in March this year..........it is up to the host club and the venue to set the dates......
Our intent at first was to miss spring break, but that varies from school to school ........

Club

No, I'm planning to join the club anyway, but I can never make the meetings. I'm out of town a lot on weekends. Guess I need to just do it by mail or online.
