I was dead asleep when it hit and i thought that the trailer was going to take off. I swear it had to be a tornado above that just didn't touch down. I sounded like the rain drops were the size of softballs. Thanks to clutchee and the other fellow with the orange rig for getting the dodge untracked.

Even scarier was seein' that Dodge, tires spinnin' and mud flyin', draggin' that big azz trailer all driftin' sideways through camp :hillbilly:..... Nice bit of drivin' there sir.

finally I have some time to give my report!

Mike you suck!:flipoff2:

Kowboy was not there to give me Sh!t but Mike gave me hell, which I am use to it already!

the whole family had a good time

First observation from Jonah(the old one) arriving to Mason,TX

"where's everybody?

He was expecting a big city type of thing.

I had made arrangement at the hotel in Mason for my wife to stay there due to K-2 not having showers and restrooms.

Note: This wheeling/camping trip used to be my time away from kids, wife and work, now they became our vacations.

Last year was my wife and this year were my kids, so it's a family vacations.

Friday night was nice, listen to the band, drank some beers enough to get more then feeling good.

went to sleep in the tent everything was fine until the wind and rain came.

it was ugly, it felt like if we were riding a wild horse.

I did not hook up the trailer this time to the truck but I have bought some jack stands to put on the back end of the trailer and also some tire blocks in order for the trailer to stay in place.

I'll thanks the lord for giving us a chance. damn trailer felt ugly when the wind started. It felt like if we were going to flip backwards. the lil' jack stands did the work and the trailer stay down.

I did not have a chane to close the entrance to the tent so I got all wet.

Back in October(at the Crawl) Loui and I spent 3 hrs. in that same tent and we did fine.

This time we stay in it for about 20 minutes and we bailed out and move to the 80, where it was nice and warm.

Everybody went to sleep for about hour and the winds and rain was still strong.

We finally decided to go the Hotel.

We slept late till around 9:30 we all got our stuff together and went back to camp to pick up the lil' trailer.

Trailer was fine and the tent was full of mud on the entrance side.

The tent got some damages which might need some repairs.

...part of the ceiling/top of the tent was torn and one side too and not to mention w/ mud.

someone drove by and splatter mud all over the front end of the tent and the top.

We did not have a chance to say good bye to everyone, but we decided that we needed to get going.

Left Mason at 12:30 and made it home at 8:00pm.

The 80 was great. I got another scratch on the back end upper part of the driver side.

It's my fault I'll admitted not like other ones(fireman) and also lost a rear mud flap.

I can't complaint it was a great event and had a great time.

Kowboy get your sh!t together and show up to the events! :flipoff2:

even my kids asked about your sorry ass, they were looking forward to see you.

leave the damn Jeep at home and bring the critters to the crawl :D

Nice job on Kowboy tho :flipoff2:

I will testify that, just like me and the rest of the Cottonland crew, JP wheeled that 80 on the fenceline trail with Shane and Randy a lot harder than any of us had planned on. We definitely put our yotas thru the paces.

As for the storm, y'all aint gonna believe this sheit. I was outside taking a piss when the very first gust of wind hit. I had just enough time to jump back thru the rainfly into my tent and hold on to the rainfly for dear life while the wind filled up the open tent with dust and leaves. When it finally backed off a bit, I grabbed my sleeping bag and most of my clothes and tossed 'em into the 40.

Pulled the seatback off the passenger seat, layed the bag down, pulled a blanket over my head and said to myself whatever happens, happens.

When I woke up in the morning and saw what had happened across the road in the Cottonland camp, I was shocked.

I was even more shocked when I turned around and looked at my camp and saw my tent still standing where I had left it.

Folks, I am here to tell you................THE TENT WAS NOT EVEN STAKED DOWN!

I am sure no one in the Cottonland camp failed to notice.

Any of you folks that got to hear the [secret for now] story of the amazing karma that got me to this year's Roundup know how this all ties in.

There are so many great stories about this trip I oughta write an article......so y'all can read it in JULY!;p
