Hey all.
Not sure if you're familiar with Round Eyes headlights (Home) but I'm interested in putting the round ones on my FJ55, and they also have a rectangular model for Toyota trucks. Anyone tried installing these on a 95-97 Tacoma? I emailed the guy about whether they would be compatible but he mentioned something about the stock headlight on the Tacoma for these years may have a reverse beam. Can anyone confirm? These headlights look like they really put out and seem like they'd be an inexpensive upgrade.

Thanks

I don't know about the reverse beam thingy....but my buddy has had round eyes on his 97 taco since about 2000, loves them, never had an issue with them.

Can you do me a favor and ask your buddy if he had to do any mods to get it to work? A pic would also be fantastic if you can get one and post here. Gracias!

I think the reverse beam whatever they are talking about is the new ones have a piece that sits in front of the lamp and reflects all the light back against the housing, then out.

Hope this helps.

Yeah I thought that was used on the 98s up when they went to the teardrop shape for a few years. His looks awesome though. Plug and play makes all the difference. I'll order my pair today. Really appreciate the pic. Helps to see it installed. Thanks!
