i have a '98 land cruiser with 209k miles, never missed a major or minor service, replaced various parts that started to break down around 170k miles - master brake booster, other - ome lift..truck in great shape mechanically. still looks decent also with zero rust.
recently it has developed a rough idle/hesitation that persists for the first 15 minutes or so until the engine warms. i notice it at stoplights, etc and it is worse with the truck in gear than out of gear. perhaps this is because the engine revs higher at start-up in N or P. Also it is not a winter thing as I live in New Orleans and morning temps here range from 40 to 60 and the rough idle happens every morning. in response i very recently had new plugs installed, a fuel induction service and a new fuel filter. the problem persists. any other ideas? Thank you!
