Nice looking truck.

With those engine mods sound like some serious power.

Have you had it on a dyno to see what it puts out

Thanks man, yes some serious power, the previous owner, a super cool cruiser head himself, told me that a dyno run produced approx 375HP at the wheels!!! I have not had the thing dynoed although at some time I want to perhaps after another few modifications like Supra fuel pump and performance increase injectors. HTH.

Nice setup!!
How do you keep the engine bay so clean?

Thanks man, well, OCD does have dumb advantages at times! :D :o :D

Thanks man so much, yes, I self advertise pretty accurately!!! :D :flipoff2: :D

Nice rig dude! I would love to be able to affordably get my hands on a Turbo.

First question: Are a blow-off valve and a waste gate the same thing?

Second: Did that header protection come with the turbo, or did you fab that up?

No. A blow off valve is a device that vents excess boost pressure from the intake stream when the throttle plate closes. A waste gate routes exhaust pressure around the turbine to control the amount of boost a turbo is producing.

Yep No. here's the difference between Blow Off Valves and Wastegates

Great writeup and thanks for contributing. Now please help reffug figure out a better spot to mount one of his coolers. Apparently his previous owner wasn't exactly in mensa.

Awesome rig

You have an awesome rig Turbo Cruiser. does the turbo help or hurt the gas milage?

Thanks so much Junk! This was fun to do, apparently alot more fun than pulling and replacing that thar winch huh? Actually just to give credit where credit is definitely due, reffug's previous owner was one of our most genius cruiser gurus. The location of the cooler is perfect for protection and perfect for efficiency, just not so good for going in later to pull and replace things! Anyways, thanks so much again man.

Thanks man, ahh, err thanks doctor! According to Safari and based on my observations, gas mileage goes up approx %10!!! Obviously the other side to that story is you have to have some restraint and stay off skinny pedal which is something i seem to have a hard time remembering!!! In either event, with the turbo, both saving some gas, and using up extra are super super fun!!!

Opinions greatly vary.

Then obviously it's made for street :princess: and not to wheel. Either that or fab up some protection for it. Even brush can get in there easily.

NEVER A TRUER STATEMENT HATH BEEN MADE. :flipoff2:

AND YAA I'M GONNA FAB SOMETHING UP FOR IT. :D

AND YOU AND I NEED TO STOP BICKERING THIS IS TURBO'S THREAD.

Okay okay, I know what I'll work on for a fabrication session this weekend ... super duper cooler protection coming up!!! Junkster, should i incorporate into the protection some sorta quick release winch mount mechanism for whenever you decide to destroy another vehicle and part it out??? :D :flipoff2: :D

TC,
Just caught this thread today. Nicely done.

I LOVE WHITE TRUCKS!
