i am about to replace the front rotors and also replace the compressor, which requires i pull the lh drive shaft. on the while you are there front, i have no present reason to replace the cv shafts and i don't know if they are oem and worth repacking, but i was thinking i might rotate them. i know that can gain some life with regular birfields on an 80 by doing that. any thoughts on whether it will extend a 100 series birf life?

I want to say the 80s shortened birf life is due to grease being washed out by the gear oil. Worn axle shaft/seals, pretty much lack of maintenance.

If your axle boots are good, I'm almost positive your grease is still in there lubing the balls lol
