Rooftop tent and base rack suggestions please

Roofnest Falcon XL on FrontRunner Slimline. Mounts are Wheel Every Weekend (WEW). Super secure and theft deterrent. The tent is larger than the rack and rests on the exterior rails. (Overhangs about 5" on both sides. Flush to rails on front and back.) I use FrontRunner's rubber slot inserts which reduces all wind noise and creaking. ARB awning attached to the side rail on the rack. Closed awning tucks up nicely under tent overhang.View attachment 3117901View attachment 3117899View attachment 3117900
Great Sand Dunes National Park?!

I skipped the rack entirely. Removed factory rack and used Gamiviti towers to mount directly to my GFC RTT with the GFC crossbars.
Picture please? I am considering the same/similar. GFC makes a direct mount for 4Runner 5th Gen. Would like to concoct something similarly low profile to that.
Contacting GFC- they don’t have any plans to make such a piece for 200’s, even though it looks like a relatively simple laser cut template. I Even suspect the rack mount bolt hole pairs on LC and 4-Runner may even be close. Haven’t gotten to measure my buddies 4Runner yet.

Thanks in advance.

It's not as low profile as the 4runner. I'm kind of disappointed GFC makes a big deal about the tight fit for the 4runner but then on the 80 series mounts (what I had previously) they really didn't try to make it close at all and weren't interested in making a lower profile mount. In this case I wish Gamiviti made a lower profile tower. But oh well.

PO installed the Rhino Rack Pioneer w/Backbone on my truck and had it all loaded up. Only advantage I see if the extra large size it allows you to install but overall I'm not that impressed due to the lack of accessories and the ones that are available are over priced. If I had to do it again I'd go with the Front Runner for a similar style or Prinsu style rack.

I do think the PO did a great job of loading it up to match his needs.

Thanks. That certainly seems like a worthwhile solution. Agreed- they talk about their low profile, but then don’t try on anything other than the 4 Runner. I do like the t track all around and what looks to be super sturdy hardware. Thanks for the pic.

Wow, got any more pics of your RTT setup?

Thank you, thats a big RTT for sure, i am leaning towards the Falcon pro, do you feel Roofnest is a good product ?
It is a big tent as we wanted the space. As for quality, so far I don't have any complaints. I store the tent in the winter so it doesn't see year round wear and tear and mag-chloride on the road. A neighbor of mine just got the Falcon Pro. Looks great.

How did you mount the Rotopax on the side? Thanks

What wheels are you running? I have not seen these and curious to know size and maker (model)?
OEM equipment. It was an extra when we bought the car. We had the 20" that came with the car and those 18x8J ET52 (285/60/18). Now changed for Dakar Zero 17x8J with 285/75/17.

Very interested in your setup for your RTT. I don’t like the aesthetics of the RTT on top of a roof rack. How has it held up over the years?

One of the Gamiviti towers cracked in about 2 years, but immediately replaced under warranty, and I think the new ones were stronger. I only had 4. I would go with 6 and a third crossbar if I did it again (the 200 is gone).
