I recently purchased an ARB roofrack with light mounts on it. I would like to put some lights on it but I don't want to drill a hole in my roof to run the wiring for them. I have thought of running the wires down in through the door and then under the door seal, but I'm thinking there would be a chaffing problem.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how to route these wires I would like hear them.
Thanks

There is a very good chance that I will be helping the op install said lights. Do you have any better pics of how you ran the wires? Can you show them entering the body of the fj?

Thanks

I did ZERO cutting, and all of my wires are outside. VERY easy to do and it looks clean. I will take detailed pictures if you would like me to.

I grounded my lights where the ARB rack attaches to the A-Pillar. Two lights per side. Then I ran the hot wires under the roof gutter trim towards the window. I then used black shrink wrapping around the wires to let them blend in better. I ran them between the window and the A-pillar external cover. Then through the door jam in between the engine bay and the fender. You will need to remove the black piece of plastic that covers this area in the engine bay. All of the clips can be removed using a flathead screwdriver. I ran only two wires per side because with the gauge I was using only two would look clean. It's not hard, its just hard to explain. If you would like I could take pictures of me removing it again or maybe even a short video.
