Hello has anyone installed any roof top lights? was thinking about this set maybe i really need one in the back and i guess on the sides would help out a lot.

sorry here is some more info on the light its from Go Light (stryker model) available in white or chrome has a cr5 light pattern (dont know what that means) has a 370 degree rotation and tilts 135 and has a reote pretty neat huh?

Are you accessorizing a fire truck?

haha no i need light for loading and unlaoding in the dark sometimes and these look like they might be good. I cant go to high because i often use parking garages for work.

We have something similiar to that on our boat. Its cool that you can move it around by a remote control. Its perfect for night use on the water to search for bouys. I'd not suggest it for use during driving a suv, but for just loading it should be good. But why not just park your cruiser and point the head lights at what you are doing?

They're kinda cool looking I guess.

Wouldn't you have to mount it so the light (beam) will clear the roof?

these will mounted on the back; the ones i was looking at can swievle but you just move it by hand ( im sure they are cheaper) i just wanted to know if anyone had these.

They should be good to load cargo on remote air fields as well…

I've got one I use with a red lens to go coyt hunting. It is on a mount the travels up the front windshield on the drivers side. It looks cool and works great for 180`. Any more than that, you best want to look at treeline, because the light will not clear the roof.

Also consider this....the cooler it looks the more apt it is to be stolen. I'm on my second and only install it when I need it. Expensive mistakes.

will let you know im still looking around for other ideas still wont install till after the new year (kids need thier gifts first)

looks like the cheepest i see on one of those lights is in the $200 range. too steep for me when it comes to one friggin light.

Just get a few pairs of driving liights and mount them on the roof rack racing each direction. I've used a similar setup on past trucks for exactly what you speak of.

yes yes i know its steep ii may be a cost factor what makes me decide i do like the idea of it being movable on my old jeep i had a fixed kc light but i could not move it so it was a pain.
