There a lots of type, yakima, Defender, Con-Fer (which seems to look the nicest IMO)

I know Man a Fre sells the defender, as far as price goes, most good full size racks are going to be around 500-600, sound right to everyone else?

Homegrown is always a good way to go as well if possible, exactly how you want it

Good Luck

is con-fer still around? I was told they went under

I'm pretty sure they did a while back, but I think its still a good idea to try and find one, either here in the MUD classifieds or CC, or ebay.

I run a Yakima rack modified with sliders for the trees that want to grab them.

African Outback is the way to go, along with the other high-end names.

I've got my AO loaded to the hilt on the 100.

On the 60 however, it serves a different purpose.

It holds Rods and tarps, so I went with the cheapo Surco rack.

Not bad, does it's intended job. It's light, I take it on and off every season.

The spade and axe carrier is just OK too.

Whatever. It does what I want it to do. Yeah, it's flimsy and I put extra plate AL on it for beach stickers, but it serves it's purpose.

It's fine for what it needs to do. Nothing heavy duty. The AO is made for that...

God damn it! I miss my 60!!!!!!

I bought a Con-Ferr on CL for $75. Had to shell out $180 for gutter mounts. Still a good deal Looks Great will last for ever. It you take care of it, can rust if you let it go. I like the classic look. I posted a great product for flooring Dura-Slat, Pottery World Sacramento, Ca check it out.

Conferr

I have a 3/4 length Conferr. Also purchased cheap on Craigslist. Fits real well.

I have a surco rack on my 62. Its less stout than some of the others mentioned above but i have had it full loaded with gear for a 4 day trip and its been thru hell scraping tree branches etc since the truck is big on most trails and it works just fine. It prob ran me 250 or 300 shipped and it was easy to put together.

The ARB racks and Confer racks are nice but I just didnt have the money to drop on a roof rack.

Summit Racing sells the surco racks
