Possible chance you can let me know what type of mounts you used to get this rack mounted & any issues that you may of run into. I am currently looking for a rack myself but for a dbl cab 03 tacoma. I think the coleman will work out just nicely.

Thanks

Seeing this is back from the dead. I ended up going with the factory Dblcab roofrack and a BajaRack. I was hoping to keep the spare up there but it was too noisey. I will be mounting the axe and shovel up there sooner or later.

ok here are a couple updated pics. i have recently had lots of questions about mounting the rack. first i set the rack up there exactly how i wanted it. then placed the artificial rain gutters in place and drilled through the roof. this requires on the inside to pull back the ceiling to tighten the bolts. its a pretty straight forward build and quite simple. you just gotta have the balls to drill through your roof. if there are any further Q's lmk. or if you want real close detailed pics too!. im glade to hear people liking this.

Taco Blonco -
I had those same 'drill thru the roof' false gutter mounts on my Pathfinder. Do you remember what Yakima or Thule calls them or have a model #? I want to do the same thing to my cab and camper shell.
Thanks!

they are just thule or yakima artificial rain gutters. they are very solid. better pics to come this weekend.

Love that basket

Hey Taco,

That is exactly the type of basket and towers I have been looking for. Not too big over the cab, very low profile and only a couple of inches off of the cab. Do you have pics of when you installed it? Also I NEED to know what type of basket and towers those are. I dont want to bogart your set up but it is the nicest set up I have seen. I have a 99 extended cab and like you said earlier in this post it is very hard to find a basket set up for anything other than a D cab. I look forward to seeing your next post with pics.

Thanks,

Shawn
