I am missing one of the Bolts with a plastic handle to tighten roof rack rails. Cdan said not sold seperately, anyone have one they want to part with for less than $47? or a source for used parts?

Take out another bolt and swing by an industrial-oriented hardware store. Or better yet, ask CDan for the bolt specs.

Not sure a hardware store would have the exact same thing, but you are probably right, they may have something, someone rigged a bolt in there now, but I dont trust it.

Well now I know the same part from the 80 fits perfect, forgot I had an old rack laying around from my 95, all good now!
I had the same problem as someone borrowed one of mine. after hearing the same dealer story,
I measure the bolt and went to home depot..sorry I forget the size but they had a black bolt which worked great which had a round head with a allen wrench to tighten ....looks good.....
