What type of lights would you guys run on your roof rack? I would like to have four small ones. Mostly for work. I am a plantation manager and find myself working on equipment at night more than I would like to.I just know you guys will have some great ideas!
Hella/Bosch marine/backup flood unit for working outside the truck. There are a lot for sale on ebay. I would not put driving light since the reflection on the hood would produce a lot of glare to the driver. Spot might be OK if you want to see very far but still require somekind of a deflector under the light.
Poor guys!I have not had to park in garage in years I guess I am lucky. 375,000 acres of protected land around my house so I guess ( and you can see why I might need lights). My neighbors house is app 13 miles away Anyway thanks for the info!
hey i was going to install something like this on my arb roof rack in the spring and have it either fold into the rack or outside to cut down on the clearance
ok sorry ti took so long but i will try to post the pics again now these are from a tundra with a roll bar; i spoke to the guy and he said it can be applied to a roof rack and either have it folding inside or outside. he is in calif and said around $400

I would use the smallest and cheapest rectangular ones you can get and mount them underneath the roof bar if you have clearance, that way the bar protects them. Plus if you are using them for work rather than looks then cheap will be fine and if they get broken then it is cheap to fix.
Her are the lights fitted on my 4Runner - can't fit any on the roof of my Cruiser cos it's already close to the highest it can get to fit in the local parking garages.
neat set up. I always thought the way the Baja trucks used to mount the lights so they would fold down into the roof was a slick set up, wouldnt work in a Cruiser however.
