Roof Rack for 80 or 100 series

Does anyone have experience with aftermarket roof racks for 80 or 100 series? I removed the factory rack on my 80 and am considering replacing it with Yakima 1A gutter mounts + a Megawarrior cargo basket. I can also attach the basket to the 100 factory rack. I'm looking to stay with something relatively inexpensive and also considered Thule and Defender, but like Yakima because of the larger size and availability (new and used parts). The rack will mostly be carrying a hi-lift, shovel, camping equipment, and possibly a spare tire.

I bought my gutter mount clamps for my 80 from Mule --> http://www.muleequipped.com/Default.aspx and those things are beefy. As for the rack, I'm planning on buidling one this summer similar to Wildyoat's rack out of an aluminum loading ramp.

Do you mind if I ask how much the clamps sell for? I checked out the website but the products area doesn't work.


Can anyone comment on the quality or durability of Yakima racks in general? I don't have any experience with racks and would appreciate any sort of feedback.
