1974 FJ40
OK. This is going to sound strange, but I am just making sure that I have not lost my mind. Insert joke here.....
I have a 1984 FJ60 with an ARB winch mount bumper. I have been told it is the "old style" whatever that means. I have a Warn XD9000 winch installed. A buddy loaned me a roller fairlead (Ramsey I think) and it had several different mounting holes. Now the new fairlead I got matches up to the top "tabs" on the bumper, but there are no holes to match up to where the 4 winch mount bolts are located on the face of the bumper. With the other fairlead, I just used the two lower mounting holes that held the winch in place.
I am guessing that there is another fairlead for this application??
I know that I can just drill some holes and make the new one work, but....
Are you supposed to be able to replace the side roller pins with bolts and mount the fairlead through those top tabs????
Are the same 4 holes that the winch mounts to supposed to hold the fairlead??
Any advice would be great!
