the spindle appears to be fine. Just munched up the axle hub. If you have one and somehow manage to get it here I will be very happy. I already had the wheel bearings, just need the hub and I can be driving it tomorrow.

I wasn't able to get out to my shop to get a hub. How did the hub get munched did it chew the bearing races right out of it?

Byrons girl friend just called asking if I heard from you guys as she hasn't heard from Byron

Any update??

Yeah we are all good. No worries. Will have a run write up.

Some highlights from this weekend. See the full gallery here.

This was a really fun trip. Lot's of trail challenges but at the same time really enjoyable because of the people involved. Nice pictures utopo! The one with the fire from resetting the bead was nice.

Was a great trip. Fun trail and good company. Felt like a good break in for the 80 snow plow!

nice pics... looks like a blast

Its nice to see you went with a quality unit. Won't be hurting for jam with the 12k I'm sure, and confidence in your equipment is a big deal on hills like the one we faced on this run. Is that fairlead aluminum or steel? Do you plan on going to synthetic line?

Switched to a roller fairlead last night. The Hawse is aluminum and got chewed up just pulling the line out. Plan is to go synthetic once the steel wears out.

What size was the old winch wakeling? Was it not up to the task?

Its a M8000. Cracked the mounting housing drilling out rusted / broken bolts...was installed by the previous owner but never once used. Was trying to get it ready to put back on i pounded it too hard.

Drill and seal up the electric motor. And run a vent hose. We are having awesome luck doing this with the axle vents off of an 80. Keeps the unit sealed up and corrosion out.

Well I`m quite behind on the update but once again another good run was had. And we added a new member to the club. We headed out on one of the deepest snow runs we have had. The powder was fresh and deep. Thanks to Jeremy and Byron for plowing the way through the deep stuff. We met up at the Grandview Stage Resort and topped up fuel and headed for the trail. It was sad to see that a bunch of trees and trails had been completely wiped out from all the logging in the area. We aired down and right away had to deal with a bunch of downed trees. I managed to mangle my radiator and condenser with a log that popped up under the snow. Luckily though it all held together but will require replacement in the future.

The depth of the snow never gave in and it was good hard running to get through the snow but the trucks handled it well.

Even walking in the deep snow proved to be quite the challenge. Corey was taking a little break from taking pictures.

We swapped the bigger trucks around to give each truck a break from pounding through the deep snow. The Tacoma unfortunately wasn`t big enough to break trail for long stretches.

After a long day on the trail navigating through the deep snow we set up camp for the night and kicked back. The next morning we pushed on till we discovered the trail to be too risky to get through with this much snow and not everyone having a winch.

The hill we turned back at. The regular route trench had opened up quite a lot and would prove to be a bit to risky.

Another trip was a success. I managed to bend a rim, mangled my radiator and condenser, and exploded the passenger side of my plastic bumper. Even with all that it was still a great time.
