Well I`m quite behind on the update but once again another good run was had. And we added a new member to the club. We headed out on one of the deepest snow runs we have had. The powder was fresh and deep. Thanks to Jeremy and Byron for plowing the way through the deep stuff. We met up at the Grandview Stage Resort and topped up fuel and headed for the trail. It was sad to see that a bunch of trees and trails had been completely wiped out from all the logging in the area. We aired down and right away had to deal with a bunch of downed trees. I managed to mangle my radiator and condenser with a log that popped up under the snow. Luckily though it all held together but will require replacement in the future.
The depth of the snow never gave in and it was good hard running to get through the snow but the trucks handled it well.
Even walking in the deep snow proved to be quite the challenge. Corey was taking a little break from taking pictures.
We swapped the bigger trucks around to give each truck a break from pounding through the deep snow. The Tacoma unfortunately wasn`t big enough to break trail for long stretches.
After a long day on the trail navigating through the deep snow we set up camp for the night and kicked back. The next morning we pushed on till we discovered the trail to be too risky to get through with this much snow and not everyone having a winch.
The hill we turned back at. The regular route trench had opened up quite a lot and would prove to be a bit to risky.
Another trip was a success. I managed to bend a rim, mangled my radiator and condenser, and exploded the passenger side of my plastic bumper. Even with all that it was still a great time.
