Looking for 8274 winches for winter projects. Will buy non-working, incomplete winches, and possibly even working winches if the price is right. Any leads are greatly appreciated too.

Any interest in restoring mine (8274-50) for a fee? It works, but could use a little maintenance, free spool nob is in-op, shaft seal never seated. No worries if you are not interested.

Justin, that is something that I would be interested in doing. I dunno about the fee part of it, but I'm negotiable. Important thing to me would be just the opportunity to tear into one and clean it up. Text me if that's easier to discuss details. I'll be in Central Arkansas this weekend if that works for pickup?

With my winch now checked in to Jordan's 8274 rehab center, I'd like to offer up the following item from Slee to help me pay for his services (and to get it out of my garage)

Slee 80-Series E-locker guard (used, fits rear only)
Asking $40 obo. I think new they are $59 + shipping from CO
I do not have the longer bolts needed to mount it.

Hello Arkies - just bought an '03 LX and within a week the AHC has crapped out. Front end is riding on the bumps. I've replaced one front sensor that was bad but get no pressure on techstream. Pulled out the pump and it seems as though the motor is problem. I'll likely pull the system and put in a stock LC set up but .....

1. Anyone happen to have an AHC pump laying around from a removed system? I'd like to give the AHC system a chance but there's a distinct limit on how much I'll spend. And I'm almost there with the new sensor.

2. Assuming I pull the system, anyone have any LC torsion bars they're looking to get rid of?

Thanks.

Not many modified 100s running around here...and probably less that originally had AHC... I know you've pulled the pump and believe it's the motor, but did you go through the Active Test screen in Techstream and test all the relays and what not beforehand? Probably doesn't matter at this point if you are certain on the pump. Sorry for your bad luck on the recent purchase... If you do end up pulling the system, don't scrap your parts...I would be interested in helping offset some of your replacement costs...found out I have a leaking front AHC shock today...would be interested in globes also depending on cost...

Don't know of any torsion bars, but I do know of a set of stock non AHC rear springs...I can ask about stock shocks also...

I did go thru the Active Test Screen in techstream. Zero pressure - which led me to pull the pump assembly. Hooked it up to 12v on the bench ..... hummmmmmm with no spin. Most likely a burned winding, I guess. Tough choice for me - yank it or try to salvage it. Would be pretty cool to have it working. Forum member PADDO has been extremely helpful in troubleshooting.

Springs - although new ones are a bit spendy, I think it may be better to go new rather than recycled as I understand they do wear out. Jury still out so would be interested to hear what you find from your source.
New OEM LC shocks aren't too bad and are highly recommended in the forum. Will certainly put in new shocks vs. used.
Got a couple of leads on torsion bars. New ones are crazy high. I think used will be as good as new for T-bars.
Local indy shop in Hot Springs will install the system for $350 - sounds reasonable.

If I pull it, I'll let you know. I have no idea on the condition of the globes - I'm sure we can agree on a number for these if it comes to this.

Hope to have it all decided in the next week or so. Would really like to get my hands on a motor to see if the system is salvageable. Found one on e-bay for $400. More than I can justify without knowing it will surely fix the system.

Thanks.

Ho, Ho. Ho. ARB bumper for 80-Series for sale. $50 USD.

I've decided to part with this and just keep the bastard junk I already have. This bumper came off of Jay's truck. In the pics below you can see that it is bent/warped/dented/etc. I have $50 (and some of Mark's labor) in it, so that is what I am asking. My plans were to ditch the upper bars and apply copious amounts of heat and force to the remainder and run it. This bumper is in Benton in one of our shops, and that is where it must be picked up from. Thx.

Sorry Jay... I know this is still painful.

I'll take it.

Free to good home...as long as you let me know before the Christmas ride so I can get these things out of my garage...

Well, I might as well take one of those too, while I'm at it. I hope to make the Christmas ride this year.

Good deal...They're yours...if you don't mind, please let me know if you're gonna make the ride so I don't haul them out and back.

Thanks
