Well after nearly 10 years of love my Weimaraner Nesta J is no longer with my family. She suffered a torn ACL and during pre-op inspection cancer was discovered and the prognoses was not very good. I have seen other threads in the past like this and can not believe how much this dog has touched my life. I hope she is finally at peace. Nesta has spent more time in Land Cruisers than most people she was my travel buddy in a 77FJ40, 80FJ40, 83FJ60 and the 100. My other dog will miss her.
Some of the photos are from when she was young.

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

The look in her eyes 2nd photo tells me she was well loved. Glad to see you gave her such a good long life.

Sending good thoughts to you and your family, both 2 and 4 legged. Losing a family member is never easy. :frown:

Some people treat there dogs like people. My wife is no exception. I know the breed you have. I know that spouces boss had one. It was gaining a reputation as not a very bright dog. One day, it attacked a skunk and got sprayed. Two days latter, got sprayed again. Then neighbor came over to chat, and the dog peed on his leg ;)

Thanks for the kind words

Thanks for the kind words this is a tough situation to handle since Nesta was part of our family and we shared so many life experiences together.
