I may have found an old set of FJ55 rims w/ center caps. Does anyone know if the stock 6-lug 15" rim w/ the center hubcap from the later FJ55's will fit my 80. How big can you go on the tires for these...?. Someone had an 80 on the forum w/ these type rims a few months ago....Is there an aftermarket source for the rims..?
IIRC it was about 92 that the cruisers went from 15" to 16" rims and 15"s wont fit on the later 80s with the larger discs with out some grinding of the caliper.
The stud pattern of the 55 and the 80 is the same. What width are the 55s rims? Also what offset?
I think the 80 you were thinking of had aftermarket rims (Stockden Wheels I think) fitted with the early hubcaps. That 80 was sweet especially with the retro LandCruiser badges as well.
