As some of you guys have known, I picked up a 200 series just a little while ago. I have found that the 200 doesn't really have a lot of storage space, or cubbies like most other vehicles. Been wanting to throw a few safety items in the vehicle and was looking to see if anybody has good solutions for this. I am not removing the 3rd row to put a storage bin so other solutions would be great.

1. Fire extinguisher - Where would you have mounted and what type of brackets? I'd like to mount it so it's easy to access but still out of the way for day to day use of the rig.

2. Location to put flares, thermo blankets, safety/emergency pack? I have the Toyota emergency safety kit stowed in the compartment in the tail gate, but any other possible storage solutions?

3. location to put a full size flash light (classic 3-4 cell mag light, or similar)?

thanks for any input.

Ugh, I could solve all of these issues if I just had a 200 in my driveway for about a week :(

Don't think my wife would let me leave the truck at your place for a week...

BTW does your 40" light bar cover made for a single or double row?

:P

The last two 200s fell through so it's tough to design for it.

All of my light covers are intended for double row lights. If it's single row I just need to know the full height.

1. I've looked at a seat mount extinguisher bracket at Summit Racing but haven't tried it yet.

2. I keep a Maxpedition bag with tools and other sundries in the cargo area. Also have the third row Toyota (Japan spec) seat covers and utilize their mesh pockets.

3. Get a Surefire P3X Fury it'll fit easier.

1. I had a mount for my 964 before and I liked the design and placement. Probably won't work in the 200 since my wife sits there, but something similar that I can add a quick release also.

2. As for the seat covers for the 3rd row, that wouldn't work for me. I have kids that need to use that row.

3. I have a surefire e1 with a kx2 head, but I want a bigger stick to compensate....

I put my fire extinguisher in the glove box on the bottom shelf, fit tight but out of sight and easy access, the rest is in a bag in the trunk, but will be relocated soon in a ARB drawer.

More info or link please. Ive seen a few on here but would like to review further.

I've posted this in a few different threads but here goes again. These are Toyota Japan spec accessories. I find it strange that they're not offered in the US, but you can find them on eBay, among other places. I got mine through these guys about 18 months ago:

Japanparts.com - JDM Parts,Performance Auto Parts

They were less expensive than eBay and arrived pretty quickly. They fit well, protect the folded 3rd row seats well enough (though not heavy duty by any means), afford two mesh pockets per seat, and can be removed quickly in order to utilize the seats. I plan to use them until the third row gets removed and cargo drawers go in, but that's a ways off.
