Hello MUDsters,

I am once again participating the Brain Tumor Society’s Ride for Research on May 18th and would like to invite you to support this important cause. Your tax-deductable donation will support the Brain Tumor Society’s important work, will honor Marty, and will help motivate me and my team to ride the 50 miles strong.

Please visit my web site dedicated to Marty and the Brain Tumor Society. We are adding a fun raffle for donors this year with a fantastic Saeco Professional espresso machine for the prize.

You can make a donation here.

Brain Tumor Society - Ride for Research

Thanks very much for considering this request. Many thanks to those of you who donated last year, truly appreciated.

Cruiser content: Our team vehicle is a troopy!

Many thanks,
Randy

Good luck! Have a safe ride!

So what is the route? Is this just you riding? Darn such short notice, I would concider riding along...

Ahhh, got it. I was just looking at the 50/1 site, found the info on the BTS ride site.

Thanks Lane.

Sam - folks that ride with me need to be fund raisers or I need to raise enough to cover their minimum. I may have enough to cover you and will know by next week, so let me know if you'd like to join in. Is your Independent fixed? Everyone who is riding is bringing their fixed or SS bikes. 50 miles, mostly rolling hills, and beautiful scenery.

Thanks to all who have donated in the past couple days...you guys are GREAT!

Man, it sounds like fun. Yes, my IF is SS....But shucks I have to be realistic here, I am not ready to do 50miles on a SS this early in the season. This is a ride I would have to get at least a bit of base for. Sounds like fun though, very tempting.

So what gearing are you gonna push?

I assume you guys are talking about doing 50 miles on a bicycle?? you nuts? I'll ride the Harley :D.

You have my donation. enjoy!

Jamie.

Not sure I am either . Hoping to draft NatickDave and the other nuts who are riding with me. Let's ride later in the season tho.

The bike is setup with a 49x16: 82.6" gear.

On a bicycle. What Harley do you have?
Thanks for your donation Jamie!

I have an '04 Heritage Softail- love it, but don't ride it as much as I used to- 40 fever you know... I do have a Cannondale touring bike that did an AIDS ride in europe on back in 01- collecting dust... my bicycle riding days are over- my ass still hurts from that ride!:D

IBjamie...you need to build up the butt callous...Ha Ha.

Yes we should ride sometime, I don't get up to Boston area much, you ever come to CT or near Ascutney VT.? LMK if your ever gonna be around those areas and we can make it happen.

So how was it???

nice work guys... sorry i was so cheap and didnt chip in this year... the wedding, the move, the debt! argh. anyway... fixies are just starting to come onto the scene here in austin which is surprising but i do see more and more by the day...

What a fantastic day and what Dave said! Feeling my age today. We have almost doubled the fund raising this year and more folks seem interested in riding with us next year. The 50 mile route travels through some beautiful countryside with rolling hills, farm land, and nice historical homes.

The four of us piled into the troopy, stuffed 4 bikes in the back, and motored to the event in cruiser style.

Thanks again to all you guys who have donated and/or forwarded my email onto to others. I am humbled by your generosity.
