My 05 has paint issues on the front and back bumper covers. I've been quoted $500 each to repaint.

However, I was thinking, wouldn't be less expensive and make more sense to coat the bumper covers with Rhino or X-liner material. It should resist scrapes and dings due to daily use.

Anyone done this?

If you're talking about the stock bumper covers I'm not sure that a bed liner material would be great for this. From my understanding this kind of material hardens when it dries and I would think that would lead to the bed liner cracking since the bumper covers are just kind of flimsy plastic. This isn't backed up with any kind of experience but that's what my intuition tells me.

One of the few times we can refer you to Plasti-dip and it isn't a lame joke.
