RHD Seats into LDH FZJ80 (1 Viewer)

Has anyone fit RHD manual cloth seats into a LHD 80 series? Is it a direct swap? Thanks

You can use the seats they will bolt right up, the issue is the seat belts. I purchased a passenger JDM seat and it bolts onto our driver side but the seat belts is floor mount and the us spec does not have a mount on the floor. Our seats have tabs built into the structure of the seat for the seat belt. Some have drilled and modified them to mount into the JDM seats but safety comes into play here.

Is that the case for all RHD seats? I know pre 1993 they had the floor mounted seat belts or they were mounted differently. But I was under the impression that all 93+ seats were different. Maybe that's just a usdm thing.

Don’t know that info. Hopefully that’s the case it will be apparent if the seats you are looking at have the seatbelts mounted to the seat.

It would appear to be a year thing. My 1995 JDM HDJ81 has the seat belts mounted to the seat, not the floor.
