Hey Everyone

I am headed to SanDiego in a couple of weeks and am driving down in my BJ74. Has anyone ever had and trouble crossing the boarder from Canada into the States with a RHD JDM CRuiser?

Thanks

Meredith

I get some longing looks at my LC, but no troubles. One time in NDakota, they nearly took it apart, but it was slow and a training day....

I drove to the Grande Canyon last summer with a BJ74. Only problems was the 4x4 guys wanting the visit and ask about the truck. Truck ran great, cruises the interstate at 100 Km.

No problems... I always make sure it's really clean and tidy inside so it doesn't look dodgy... not that I'm dodgy.:meh:

Never had a problem yet. The most was the usual mention by US Border Guards: "Hey your on the wrong side", and my equally stupid response, "Actually sir, it is the right side". There are so many RHD here in Southern BC so I am sure they see a lot of them in Washington. But more importantly, the RHD Jeep is a staple of the US Postal Service and its contractors. I think people are less impressed by the fact you have a RHD but by the fact you have a diesel or a vehicle model they have never seen before.

Many trips across the line with no problems at all, other than the Canadian Border guy wanting some advice on how to convince his girlfriend that they should get one! Lots of curious folks, but no hassles.
Enjoy the trip - we were down there in November.

No problems going over the border @ Michigan/Sarnia. The U.S. Guard seemed kinda of confused and then was like WAIT! youse' ON THE WRONG SIDE! laughed and let me though. The Canadian Guard asked if I left the 420 in michigan or if I still had it with me................
