B double E double R U N….. Beer RunWhat’s that spell?
I know it’s not in the neighborhood but you’ve always got a place to stay in sunset valley.I’m trying to convince my wife that we should fly to to Texas for the Troubadour Festival in Aggie land in May, I’m sure I’ll have teenage kid stuff to take care of though and we won’t be able to go.
I just want to go pig out on smoked beef, drink dark beer, and enjoy some live music!!

Yeah I’m thinking in that direction too. They look real nice in the 40. My stock seats are shot so might go the procar option too.I’m reality I should be looking to buy some Procar seats for my 40, then install seat heaters, that should be my priority right now.
My oem seat aren’t even fit for a dog bed. My middle third suffered every time I drove this girl.Yeah I’m thinking in that direction too. They look real nice in the 40. My stock seats are shot so might go the procar option too.
Heater is definitely going in my oem rebuild whenever that happens. These procars are budget enough to give it a go I would think?I only wish they came out of the box with a heater option, that is my biggest reason for not already having them in 40.
But, with enough time and money anything is possible.
(Neither of which I have to spare)
I don’t. I’ve looked into it and have read so much conflicting info I just let it be. Maybe I’ll pick one up and give it a shot. Around 3 psi if my memory serves me correctly.Do you have a fuel pressure regulator? I learned during my visit to BTS/Man-a-Fre in Nevada that the factory mechanical fuel pump puts out more pressure than the Weber wants. They actually like the Weber on their 2F rebuilds.
Couldn't hurt. I'm going to put one on the Weber on my 45.I don’t. I’ve looked into it and have read so much conflicting info I just let it be. Maybe I’ll pick one up and give it a shot. Around 3 psi if my memory serves me correctly.
The strange thing is the intermittent nature
Regardless, thanks for the reminder, I forgot about this.
Have you checked your tank for rust? If it resembles what you pulled out of your cooling system then that would be my guess. Also check for trash in the lines or better yet replace the lines as its not expensive for a length of 5/16 fuel line from any parts store.I don’t. Lines are a good call. There probably is some rust in the tank as evidenced by the fuel filter I just swapped out. I'll start with the lines and regulator then look at draining the tank and assess from there. Short of replacing the tank, what's a good fix if there is major rust (I don't think there is)? A bladder? I'll do a search of course, but since we're talking about it...Have you checked your tank for rust? If it resembles what you pulled out of your cooling system then that would be my guess. I went through all my grounds fairly recently but good call nonetheless.Couldn't hurt. I'm going to put one on the Weber on my 45.
Another thought. Anytime there's an intermittent issue, my inner voice whispers "check yer grounds".
Take the sending unit out of the tank and see what condition it’s in. If it’s covered in rust then you will likely need a new tank. From others on here a poly tank has its own set of issues but the oem steel tank would be best followed by a replica such as from cool cruisers of Texas. Oem tanks are spendy but it solves the problem and you won’t have to worry about fit or leaks. I bit the bullet with a new oem tank, pump, filter, and lines and it fixed my intermittent problem along with the city racer carb. Also blow out the metal lines with compressed air. Some have had success with chemical cleaning and resealing the tank but depends on condition.Lines are a good call. Instead of working, I just went down a rabbit hole of gas tank rust repairs... I've got a really seized bolt on my sending unit cover that I've never really bothered to deal with so I've never had that cover off. I'll start soaking in CorrosionX and get after it with the impact screw driver later today. I'm hoping I'm good here with the tank. I still need to finish up the hardtop repairs and need a new rain gutter and all new seals so I'll be throwing about a grand at that.Take the sending unit out of the tank and see what condition it’s in.
