I'm thinking of buying a reversing sensor for my 60

I assume this will be 12v. What is the reversing light on a 62 - 12v or 24v?
I need to splice it into the reversing light so it is activated when I select reverse gear. It could be an expensive mistake if the reverse light is not 12v.

Whilst we're at it, is everything 24v? I know the cigarette lighter is...

Get a meter--if you're going to be tinkering with with wiring, you should have one anyway.

I can't imagine part of your truck being 12v and the other 24v, so if the cig lighter is 24v, then the rest should be, no?

If you want to be sure, put transfer case in N if you can, put it in reverse, and check it out with the meter.

I don't have the truck at home and tomorrow the auction for the reversing sensor ends - I am really hoping someone out there will know if the reversing light is 12v or 24v ???

Jim, I am gonna say yes the bulbs are 24 volt, not 100% sure but I am pretty sure.

OK I checked my hj60/fj60 owners manual, yes all the lights are 24 volt, reverse light is 21watt
