Reverse camera install (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone, i tried looking for this in the forum but couldnt find anything. Does anybody know how to wire up a reverse camera to a fj62, i know that it cant connect to the reverse light because they are negative wired, can someone shed some light with possible diagram or video please.

How about using a relay circuit?

12 volts is 12 volts to a light bulb so it shouldn't matter to a sensing wire either. It is true that the instrument dimming function is backwards because the potentiometer varies the resistance to ground instead of varying the positive voltage.

You can use a relay to switch the trigger from negative to positive.

Took me a bit to get it. Relay will solve it.

Mine is wired HOT wire TO THE BACK UP LIGHT Positive and then just locally grounded. While I was at it I put a switch on the dash I can manually turn on the back up lights so I can have some camping light. LED bulbs are AWESOME
