Lexus repair shop says all suspension components are mechanically sound and no faults with VGRS. Head tech who used to work at Lexus service says truck behaves as it should. Is this normal?

No. That is definitely not normal. Sorry, but I have no idea why it would do that 🤔

What in the world? Our trucks have VGRS, but that's very odd.

wow. maybe this:

Mine did that after I messed with my height sensors a little. Only did it once or twice within the first 30 minutes of driving then stopped doing it. It did it both after I raised sensors, then again when I lowered them back because I didn't like how it felt raised up too high. I agree with the zero point calibration sentiment above. It seems to fix itself anyways on my truck, since I never did the calibration. But next time I mess with the sensors I plan to do the calibration before driving.
