I'd like to replace my third row glass with with strong metal panels so that I can add exterior mounting points. Has anyone done anything like this or seen anyone do it? I don't mean gulf wing windows--just solid panels such as on some cargo vans. Any insights will be appreciated!

Maybe try Dissent. Not a catalogued item, but there are pictures on their website

Saw that in the past. They have something that goes over the glass and anchors to the roof rack on their site. I don't want to use the roof rack, though. Just want to replace the glass and weld/anchor to the vehicle itself.

I would think most any body shop could remove the glass, weld some sheet metal over the hole, and bondo and paint it to match. Whether they can match all the curves of the body is the trick I suppose.
