Any pointers or suggestions on replacing my rear shocks at my house using jack stands and floor jacks.

I am under the impression this is not that difficult of a job?

It is pretty easy.
The day before SOAK the bolts on the truck in PB Blaster or Liquid wrench to help lube up the (usually) rusty nuts/bolts. (you may have to cut the bolts in the worst case)
Jack up the truck & place axle on jackstands and remove the wheels - mostly for more room under the truck. Chock the wheels, put in 4 wheel low too.
unbolt the old shocks, install the new shocks
yeah, its easy if you can turn a wrench you can do this, good luck.
BE CAREFUL! dont let the truck fall on ya, it'll ruin your day!
