^ Hey how long does it take you to get to Wellesley Toyota from your home?

Maybe 20 minutes. I take 115 thru Sherborn center then turn right, go past randy's house, thru Wellesley center then east on Rte 9.

Hmmm...Thanks. I should go there from now on for my OEM parts.

So I actually do need help tomorrow replacing the clutch. I have everything disconnected and plan on dropping the xfer and trans out in about an hour from now. Then going to get new seals from Wellesley Toyota.

I need to do seals on the xfer and trans, rear main seal, and clutch.

Anyone that can help tomorrow would be greatly appreciated. I have a stereo in the garage so I plan on having the game on and having a few bruschis while I work.

Thinking I'll start around 12:30 tomorrow (sept 20th)

I can help. You buying pizza? If not I will eat here after church and then shoot over and help. Should be by 1-1:30

Pizza sounds good!

I can help, but I'm going lobster diving in the morning and have some turkey legs to smoke before the pats game. I could start the drummies up tonight and just reheat them pre-game.

Do you need an alignment tool?
Do you need bearing grease for the T/O bearing?

I have bearing grease but definitely need the tool. I caould grab it before the game if you're busy. PM me for my phone number or send me yours. thanks!

BIG THANKS!!!! to Pinion and Wrench for coming over today. Rob (pinion) basically did the whole thing. We spent the last 2 hours trying to get the trans back in and came up about 2 inches short using the engine hoist and chains. Trans jack will fix the job up easy.

\\Clutch looked good but the throwout bearing was toast. Replaced everything anyway.

No problem. Darn we where so close! I hated to leave it being that close. But you'll get it this week with tranny jack.
It was nice meeting Rob .

Ha Ha the springs are a joke. There was major booger welds on them. The fronts have no shackles! So just imagine how that must work out.
As for the tires he got great ones! I love the interco trxus mt's!

The list of repairs is long and growing. Hoping it'll make it to the FG!! Thanks again to Rob and Chris

No sweat. It was a lot of fun. I felt kind of bad since I got to just show up and not have to deal with the swearing and pulling off the drivetrain. All the hard work was already done.

Chris, I hope you didnt take offense to me offering up my slightly used paper towel. I was using garage and not bathroom etiquette. I forgot there was a urinal in there.

I also totally forgot my wallet and didnt realize it until I pulled up to my driveway. :o

Since its a pretty low speed drive there with a good amount of distance, I'm going to drive the 40 there for its first medium distance shakedown. I will bring my electric impact and a few other things. I probably wont need it, and havent used them in my garage. You can use them until I need them back or decide to sell them if you'd like.

That is going to be a sweet pig. With the limited amount of body to frame connections, it will be an easy resto at some point down the road. . . . that is, after you fix that front suspension. :grinpimp:

Rob no offense taken- no worries. ;-D

Thanks again. There are a limited amount of body mounts and half of them are broken. Ordering shackles today totemporarily fix the front end. Least that will get me to NH without dying (hopefully)

Zero shackles, period. It's a new mod. I'm gonna be the beginning of a new trend.

When I saw it I didn't think twice about it. I just figured that they did a shackle reversal.

What are you going to do for shackle hangers? How are the springs mounted in the rear? Attached to the factory spring hangar? If thats the case and you aren't going to be doing a shackle reversal you are going to need the front spring/shackle hanger in addition to the shackles.

I was just thinking, if you wanted to replace that oil pan gasket go ahead and order one up. I think it would be a good time to do it while we will be under there.

Weds is not looking good for me. I forgot that it is my wife's birthday on the 27th and she is going to be leaving on Thursday morning for Va. Want to do it Saturday? I'll bring out the floor jack so we have a better reach on the tail shaft.
