Are the front and rear center badges interchangeable between the LX470 and LC? I do a lot of traveling around surfing and at some of the surf spots I park at I feel like swapping out the gold Lexus "L" logos out for the plainer silver classic toyota sombrero badges could save me from a set of slashed tires or logos pried off with a screwdriver. Thanks!

I think so... you should be able to replace them with Cygnus badges

I doubt if they are looking at badges? Just don't wash your truck before you go to the beach.

That's messed up man, sound like a nice bunch of folks you hang around..

Technically I bet they would fit but this still sounds like chat.

I think he is talking about the vehicle perception rather than the color of the badges. I've also wondered the same thing. I bought my LX in the spring and I am self conscious about the "L" and would be more comfortable with the sombrero. At least in my case its less about being a target for vandalism and more about the perceived flashiness of the brand. I refer to my LX as my "cruiser" but my neighbors see a fancy Lexus in my driveway. I looked at both a LC and LX and picked this one based on the general guideline that is given here daily. Buy the newest with lowest mileage and best maintenance available. (The other one had 40k more miles for the same $.)

I thought I read on here that the badges are different sizes and because of that are not interchangeable, this might depend on year though too if I remember right.

I took mine off with the initial intention of painting them black (that gold lettering is about the tackiest thing ever put on an automobile since the Bra (my Lx had one of those too, and I tore it off in a grocery store parking lot on the way home)). I liked the way it looked with no badges and just left them off. I put plastic push rivets into the holes to keep water out. I like the incognito look.
