This is an OEM Honda part. When I put in a new crush-type exhaust manifold gasket and reinstall the split exhaust spacers, there is barely any thread sticking out of the flange. All the 50's used this setup, but I wonder if I need longer studs? There was no gasket there when I took the old muffler off.
It will probably crush enough when I tighten it, but I hate to f'up any of the parts.
The split-spacers have a slight groove on one side and I assume it goes to the engine side?
I bought a copy of the service manual for the early ones, but it is no help.
