I am very new to the whole repairing a car thing, and started on the first thing that broke, my driver side front axle CV. So I bought an entire new axle shaft for 104$... don't know if that was a score or a rip off. I am half way done, I have everything out and am now on the reassembly. I don't have a repair manual... does anyone know which one to get for this job? and I tried to the axle shaft back into the diff and it has a little space left and won't go all the way in or come back out. Do I need to remove the entire hub assembly or not? I can get the upper A arm off and steering linkage, but not the lower A arm mount to the hub assembly, any advice? PS if I sound like a rambling idiot who is just mucking up my land cruiser please tell me... I am only 19 and tend to dive head first into things and get myself into a bad situation. Thank you for any feedback I am also new to ih8mud

There is a complete thread in the FAQ section with all the instructions and details. Includes pictures too. That is what I used my first time doing this job.

There should also be a link for a 2004 FSM in pdf format that you can download. The instrcutions in the 2004 should be the same for your 2000.
