Hi, I had the mirror break on the driver's side mirror for a friends land cruiser 100 series and I'm trying to fix it for them. It looks like maybe they removed a mounting piece that would connect to the white section to then hold the mirror but I can't tell from the replacement part pictures if that's true or not. They did keep the turn signal light piece. The oem parts lists I can see seem to show the whole housing as one piece and the mirror as another. Is there a way to just get away with just replacing the glass here or are we looking at replacing the whole side view mirror instead? Thanks.

You just need the new glass and it should snap in place. As far as I know the mirrors themselves didn't come from factory with turn signals, so most likely the glass that broke was not OEM Toyota.

Be aware that it takes an uncomfortable amount of force (at least for me) to snap these mirrors off and on the white plastic mounts.

Awesome, I didn't realize the glass piece came with a mounting back that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for that tip on the amount of force. It would definitely intuitively seem wrong to push pretty hard on a piece of glass.

I would take it apart and test the motor and connections. Also, take a look here:
