Replacing 2nd row lap belts with shoulder belts (1 Viewer)

I'd like to replace the left and right second row lap belts on my 91 HDJ81 with shoulder belts. Could the shoulder belts from an HDJ80 be made to work in my 81? I was kind of hoping that the 81 body would have the mounting points built in for the shoulder belts, but they just weren't a requirement in Japan at the time so only lap belts were factory installed...too easy?

I need to get the kids safe(r) before moving on to the fun stuff.

I plan on doing this to my HDJ81 also - I have sourced out the shoulder belts from other japanese vehicles (not LC80s though) from junkyards. If you have HDJ80 belts, much much better.
