about to order a 2016 lc and with the refresh very much like it, but curious when the whole 200 series will be redone? Any news or updates?

I believe there's at least one thread on this and it is surmised in a number of others but if I remember correctly it is a few years out until the new Land Cruiser will be out. 2016 was a refresh for the 200 series and IMHO it's a beauty. Welcome to MUD!
nothing definitive. i've read the threads and the speculation... mostly based on past Toyota behavior. if you read through them all, you'll likely come to the same conclusion that i did... it'll VERY likely be 2017... or 2018.... or 2019... or ???
i gave up on the speculation and bought the 2016 because right now, today, at this moment, i thought it was a great looking, reliable vehicle. before the 2016 came out, i liked the 2015. i'm sure i'll like the '17/'18/'19/whatever refresh too... but i didn't want to suffer from too much analysis paralysis - as we can all be prone to do.
they're all great vehicles. if you like the current model and you have the means, get it. if you like the previous year, save some money... but my opinion is that if you wait for the the BBD (bigger better deal), you'll be waiting indefinitely. there's always a BBD - particularly with a vehicle that only exists in the mind.
Only Toyota knows, and they play their cards close to the vest.
