Hello,
I recently acquired a 99 Limited for my daughter and am wanting to replace the front seat leather. I have done this in the past on a 100 series LC and was very pleased with the result. Those were from LC Heaven but they don't offer replacements for the 4Runner. I'm looking at either Ridies or the ones from Hot Rod Upholstery. Has anyone used either and what was the end result? Fit/Color Match/ease of installaion etc?

Thank you!

I too have a 99 T4R, I gave it to my princess and she wants to keep it many offers of buying it from her and one of her coworkers offered 10k this is when she was stationed in North Carolina. She had it shipped back home for now so I could go over it and and do some needed TLC I have stumbled on an online shop that does seat covers and some new foam too I will look it up when I get back to work tomorrow I found other online shops but they cater to the Ford Chevy and Dodge/Ram line up, post some pics and let us know if you need any other help with it. Oh I forgot, Welcome to IH8MUD :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: (Official MUD welcome).

Hey, new member, Also looking into seat covers. Found another online vendor, called: seat cover solutions.

Advertised as “eco leather” and perforated if you have the newer models with heating and cooling.
Available in black or with colored inserts

Curious if anyone had experience with these guys?

Appreciate the reply and thank you in advance for looking up the info! Looked for quite a while to find this one in Cali, one owner vehicle with 225k miles. Not a perfect specimen but I wouldn't give a perfect one to a 16 year old! Amazing service record, zero rust, great interior minus the front seats, minor paint issues and dings, will be an outstanding 1st car for my kid.

In case anyone has some spare parts I am looking for the left side rear mudflap with the wheel trim piece in Topaz. Long shot but worth a try! Plan to do some small mods over the next 6 months, OME lift, front bumper, roof rack, new head unit with bluetooth phone & backup camera.

Thanks!

I finally had the time to look for that shop, I have never used them so just do your homework before buying.
I also need to replace my driver seat cover.

Welcome to MUD. Clean 4Runner too.
I have a '97 Limited and was looking into having the seats reupholstered a while back as well. I had a local shop quote me about $1,400 for just the front two seats. I came across these covers but have not looked into them much yet. There was another site that I can't remember at the moment but if I come across it I will put it here as well.

Thanks @TwelveGravity. I ended up ordering new leather covers from Hot Rod Upholstery and will post some photos when they arrive of the before and after.

Glad to see there are options out there, that's a great looking 3rd Gen you got @TwelveGravity who makes that front bumper? My daughter's 99 is not as good looking but she loves it just as much she sent it back home since she is in Korea for a year I'm planning to rebuild the suspension since it's getting close to 400k also the front bumper since she had a minor fender bender last year. She bought some rims and tires for it since the old tires were getting thin.

Happy to report the seat covers arrived and I installed them today. Very happy with the end result. I have not attempted upholstery work before but the process was pretty simple and took me about 4 hours to complete both seats. I was even able to source an OEM lumbar switch for the drivers side and get that part working again. Would definitely recommend these covers from Hot Rod Upholstery, I ended up ordering the synthetic leather for reasons of cost, but the match is spot on. I expect the wrinkles to smooth out and tighten up as they settle.
