replacement rectifier for denso alternator

Ordered this last week for my 1996 80series arrived today ... it is really a nice part "transpo" is the brand on the box and this is the one that fits a stock 1996 80 series denso alternator....

BUT.... this is the exact same rectifier that is in a 100 series also... I know 1998 -2001 ( the ones I had on hand to compare) I actually test fit it on the alternator I just replaced on my 1998.... appears to be solid copper construction...

Here is what I've seen with aftermarket rectifiers (Diodes):
OEM will give a high voltage even at idle. Aftermarket needs high RPM to give that voltage.
What made you to replace the rectifier pack?
